Constipation is a common complaint that can be caused by many different factors including: poor diet, emotional stress, traveling, food allergies, etc. This recipe uses chia seeds and walnuts to moisten the intestines, and it is especially good for people dealing with constipation due to weakness or dryness. If you have hard, dry, or pellet-like stools, this delicious chocolate pudding treat will help to improve your bowels and give you a much healthier and satisfying poo.
Ingredients:
1 cup cashew, walnut or almond milk
¼ cup chia seeds
2 TBSP cocoa powder
2 TBSP pure maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/8 cup walnuts (for garnish)
1/4 cup fresh organic raspberries (for garnish)
Directions:
Whisk all ingredients (except walnuts and raspberries) together and let it sit for 15 minutes to gel. Whisk again and cover. Refrigerate for a minimum of 4 hours or overnight. Stir and top with walnuts and raspberries & serve. Enjoy about 1/2 to 3/4 cup of the pudding per day.
